What would you do if the world as you know wasn't the same anymore? And how would you survive in this world if the dead people came back to life and hungry for a big piece of YOUR FLESH?! Watch The Walking Dead series’ and see Rick Grimes’ and his group struggle for survival on AMC TV.

The series is based on the homonymous HQ created by Robert Kirkman, who is also the producer of the series and the two books: “Rise Of The Governor” and “The Road To Woodbury”.

The Walking Dead isn’t a zombie series like any other ones we’ve seen before and you want to know why? Because its focus isn’t on the zombies, but on the people’s survival instinct and what they can and must do to keep themselves alive.

Let’s meet some characters of this awesome TV masterpiece:

RICK: He is the series protagonist and the leader of a small group of survivors. Before having become the leader and find his family he was in a coma, because a shot during a gunfight against some bandits (he was a delegate assistant in a small town in Georgia).

CARL: Son of Rick and Lori, he is a smart and sweet boy who still being innocent amid the chaos where the world have become. But will this innocence last that much and keep him away from being bitten?

LORI: Rick’s wife and Carl’s mother, she was convinced that her husband wasn’t alive anymore and so she ran away with Carl and Shane (Rick’s partner) to Atlanta. Now the question is, was her interest on Shane just for survival?

DARYL: One of the survival group and the most popular character in the series, he is a conflicted, great hunter, and very observant man who is infallible with his mortal crossbow. At first we have the impression the he only cares about himself and his older brother Merle, but we discover that his actually a good ally and very fair.

ANDREA: Before the chaos starts she was a lawyer and on a trip with her sister Amy. They were rescued by Dale (another survivor of the group) and then he started to take care of them as if they were his daughters. Andrea is very stubborn, confident and very good with guns.

GLENN: He saves Rick when he arrives Atlanta and is surrounded by a walkers’ herd. Glenn is an Asian guy full of compassion and humanism, responsible to go the town and get provisions and medicines.

GOVERNOR: His actual name is Philip Blake and he is known by The Governor because he is the leader of another survival group that lives in a city called Woodbury (for more details read “Rise Of The Governor”). But unlike Rick, The Governor is a cruel, ruthless and inexcusable leader. His first appearance is on the season three.

MICHONNE: Also another popular character, she is a brave, strong and a warrior woman, literally, why? Because she have an amazing sword which she uses do decapitate several walkers’ head. Like Governor she is another new character, who appeared on the season three, but unlike him she is very fair and loyal to her people.

MERLE: He is the older brother of Daryl, but unlike him Merle only cares about himself and became an ally of The Governor after he is left behind in Atlanta on the first season.
